2011 is shaping up to be the year of the audience, mainly due to the popularity of Google’s new Remarketing technology. An easy to interpret platform that allows banner ad delivery to members of an audience that have been pre-determined by an advertiser due to some action they have taken. These actions are mainly associated with interacting with an advertiser’s content in some way (YouTube video, FaceBook page, or website).
